Getting started

   Create an account

   Sign in with the same account you use on Chance AI.

   Issue an API key

   Generate a key from the API keys page. It is shown once and cannot be recovered.
3. 3

   Call the API

   Send the key in the X-API-Key header on every request.

Your first request

Export your key as CHANCE_API_KEY and fetch two job listings. The same key works on every endpoint in the reference.

Quotas and limits

Every account has a monthly allowance of 1 000 requests, shared across all of its keys, that resets at the start of each calendar month in UTC. Requests without a valid key are rejected.

Once the allowance is exhausted the API responds with 429 Too Many Requests and a Retry-After header. Read the remaining minute and month allowances from the response headers shown above.

Model Context Protocol

The same catalogue is available to AI agents as MCP tools. It is a read-only JSON-RPC endpoint protected by browser OAuth and explicit read-only consent.
